Divine Love / Sacred Marriage
The Balance of the self embracing the feminine and masculine parts of the Divine bringing about a complete whole of true self. Many of us do not connect embrace or understand our full capacity and divinity. There could never be a true balance and knowing of the self until we can unite these two energies in self. This is not a physical bond but a spiritual bond. This has nothing to do with being heterosexual, same gender loving or bi sexual in truth it really has nothing to do with gender at all these energies are prevalent in us all regardless of sex or sexual orientation. It is the lack of knowledge in which humans parish in the physical. Procreation is not just about the coming together of a man and a woman but it is about creating and re birthing the One in you. Until there is a clear understanding of this concept we as humans will never know the beauty of Divine Love and Sacred Marriage. There is no outside force that can bring you true balance it can only compliment it you must master this within yourself.

Reconnecting

I wanted to share this experience I had the other night that took me to a new level of respect for my ancestors and spiritual guides. I recently just purchased a Djembe drum I have always felt connected to the beat of the drum or drumming but because of lack of understanding in the power of the drum and some insecurities top off with being shy I put these emotions to the back of my mind. I remember when I was a child in my 5th grade music class our music teacher put before us a series of beats and those of us who could remember those beats would perform it the next day at a school assembly in front of the entire school. Well in a class of 30 only myself and one other person would nail the beats. We were chosen to represent the class. I was excited but also a nervous wreck. I went home that day and practice and tried to prepare myself for this on stage appearance. As the next day arrived I remember our class walking over to the cafeteria in where we would perform I was so frighten but I tried to keep encouraging myself to go through with it. The moment had arrived and our names were called to move to the stage I couldn’t move I set there and fear had taken total control of my body. My classmate went up to the stage performed the series of beats and received great applause and was awarded a certificate for top music student of our school.. I was crushed angry and mad at myself this bothered me for a long time( Until this day I still remember those series of beats) that I allowed this fear to restrict me and disconnect me from something I feel is a part of me Since then I have somewhat gotten over this stage fright for I have performed (not drumming) and spoken in front of crowds. To get to the reason for this post I have begin to reconnect to those drumming energies again I have seen many women drummers that have caught my attention and reading a article written by Queen Mama Imakhu Shekemet called Reclaiming Queen Nyabinghi’s Drum(http://www.akeruministries.com/Nyabinghis_Drum.html have really inspired me to reconnect to drumming not so much for performing in front of people but drumming for healing, praying and connecting to my ancestors and spiritual guides. The other night I received some devastating news in all I could do was pray. I lit my incense and candles and pulled out my new djembe drum. I began to pray and beat on the drum within moments something happen something I have never experience before in my life. The energies was high and it was as if something had taken over my body but this time it wasn’t fear but power I no longer had control over how my hands was hitting the drum with such precision and power I was in the moment I was connected . I was at peace which I truly believe has help me dealt with the outcome of the news I received, Tua Ner-t Tua Ntru Tua Aakhu ! I wanted to share this with all and bare witness to the power within.
